6 Bestseller Foreign Literatures that I read in 2020

Let’s see who they are, and why they are bestsellers

Not belonging to the majority group of readers, I suddenly have a whim of looking at what are bestsellers among a niche category. So I looked into those among the Foreign Literature category here in Q4, 2020, and compiled those I have read here. I would include review links for those who are interested.

The silent patient has been on the bestsellers list for at least 4 months (from September until now, and most of the time is the top 1st–3rd). I thought it was a nice thriller, but others among the list have been way better, so it becomes less impressive now to me.

2. Ice Cold by Tess Gerritsen

Tess Gerritsen’s works are always bestsellers in Taiwan. It’s my first time reading her work since thriller is not really my favorite genre, but Ice Cold is just brilliant. There’s no single part, no single words in this book that will bore the reader. I just couldn’t stop reading and am already looking forward to reading other works of Tess Gerritsen.

By the way, another work of Tess Gerritsen, The Surgeon, has been on the bestsellers list for 1–2 years too. I haven’t yet read it but have already bought a copy and couldn’t wait to read it.
