Simplifying The Complex

Social media and intellectual laziness lead us to offer up simple solutions to complex problems. Most complex problems can’t be solved or even explained within a 280 character framework.

It takes a whole lot less mental energy to process a sound bite than to do rigorous research. And because it’s easier, that type of thinking becomes the norm.

Over time knowledgeable voices get drowned out by loud voices who speak confidently, succinctly, but ignorantly. And we’re all the worse for it.
